I’m needing to sort the 4 columns in my TP backend file but although the arrows appear they no longer activate. However, at the front end, they do and that is how all my earlier version tables are also not sorting. Probably something simple, (just me?).

I realise you cannot see into my backend but if necessary I can allow you entry for the duration.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi!

Thanks for your post and sorry for the trouble!

As for the sorting on the “Edit” screen, can you please try doing a double-click on the sort arrows? Or, alternatively, right click on a cell in the column, to open the context menu, and try the “Sort column by …” entry?

For the frontend sorting: Here, I’m confused. You write that the arrows do activate, but that they “are also not sorting”?

    Regards,
    Tobias

Sorry, It certainly does work with a double-click, whereas at the front end a single click works. I only update my table twice a year with maybe 30+ entries and it is too easy to forget some of what I’ve already learned.
I’ll add this to my “reminder” list.

Thanks for providing this free version with so much versatility ??

    Hi,

thanks for the clarification! Yes, I can totally understand that this can be confusing, with that different behavior! Part of the reason is that the “Edit” screen needs more interaction (e.g. also for selecting cells/rows/columns), which is why the single click “was already taken”.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress in the plugin directory. Thanks!
