Sort by price not working

I see issue with products with variations also on my site. I’m checking with developers what is happening there, because I can see we had bug reported for this problem and it is marked as resolved.
I will get back to you as soon I will have more info about that.

Any updates on this, we are holding off on taking the new version live because of the sort issues. It is definitely related to products variations vs ones with no variations.

We plan on taking the site live next week, I will probably try to fix this by attempting to fix the marketpress SQL queries.

Sorry for the delay – I spoke with developer and bug that was reported is about this issue and fix was added, but it requires to re-saving products with variations and might also require re-saving variations (this was case on my site, however it should work only by re-saving main product).
Can you check if you edit and save products that are not showing correctly will that make them showing in right order? Let me know.

my 2 cents worth. The low to high shows as high to low and only shows 3 products out of 20 in the category. In a different category with 16 products, no products show up when using the price ordering.

The price ordering is definitely hosed up. The option display box is also not wide enough to show the pricing for variable products. Gotta love the improvements from 29.5.3

I suspect the problem is the pricing sort routine for variable products is not picking up the lowest price bucket and so has nothing to sort on for variable products. Not allowing for a variable product price window to show the prices is not conducive to anyone ordering any variable product.

Sure would have been easier to take 29.5.3, add the calculated shipping modules and release it. Would have made a lot better PR for WPMUDEV too.

Since my site running 29.5.3 is nailing 97 and 98 on insights page rank with the Clean Retina theme which will flat not work correctly with V3, I probably will stay with 29.5.3 for a while.

I can confirm that resaving the main product does show the pricing but the pricing variation box is still too small to show the txt with price of the variation. And sorting by price will only show 3 product out of the set of products in the category.

I did see the edit the product category filter is back which is much easier to get the entire category easily.
