Sort by driving distance

  • I’d like to sort results by driving distance, not as-the-bird-flies.

    Is that possible with this plugin?

    Scenario – geographic factors (rivers, bays, mountains) can make the driving distance a much better indicator of locality.

    That’s unfortunately not supported due the amount of extra API requests that would require.

    It’s technically possible, but since Google charges now for API usage, this could become a costly option to enable.

    Now a request is only send to the Directions API when a user clicks on the directions link, then a request has to be made for every single location that shows up in the reslts, which could be a problem on high traffic websites. This may also slow down the results from slowing up.
