Hi – I am using this shortcode to sort by date. However the displayed citations remain sorted by title, not by date. Can you help/

    [zotpress collections=”HKP2MKTG” sortby=”date” order=”desc” abstracts=”yes” ]

Can you post a link or contact me? This is working for me. https://katieseaborn.com/contact

Yes – this is an example:

I think the year is right (yes?), perhaps not the month and/or day? Is that right?

Not correct – if you search you will see the dates are mostly 2019 with some 2016 and 2017 in the middle.

    I see:

Linkify words in post. (2018, March 7)
    Maher, C., Underwood, M., & Buchbinder, R. (2017)
    Golden, D. (2016, November 18)
Deutsch Tremp & Tremp LLC: Life Care Planners Join Forces. (2016, October 11)
    Work with APIs. (n.d.)

There is a known month-day issue, but this seems correct, no? Note that Zotpress may update the order a few seconds after loading (with multiple requests to Zotero, the ordering must be done on the WP/Zotpress side, so I do this with JavaScript after loading each request).

OK I think I see now… if there is no date (n.d.) except for a retrieved date, it is ignoring the date entirely and not using the retrieved date?

Ah! Yes, there is no way to sort based on retrieved date. You’ll want to update your metadata for the citations with the publication date.

    OK Thanks
