Sort by badge

Hi, anyone know if it is possible to add a sort based on badge name?

In the shop page where it shows all products in a category, is it possible to add under the dropdown options. ie. sort by popularity, sort by rating, sort by latest, etc. an option to sort by badge name?

Guessing this would be a function that would need to be added in functions.php but don’t know what it would be.
