• Sigh again I am being blocked out of two WordPress sites after they were migrated over to a new hosting plan. I got so fed up with one of these sites that I had to rename the plugin folder since modifying the php file and uncommenting the “/” did not help. On that site when I tried to login I would see “Sorry, your request cannot be accepted.”

On the second migrated website I can login but I regularly see the ‘Sorry, your request cannot be accepted.’ when I attempt to even change this plugin’s settings or access another plugin’s settings / options. I went as far as removing IP Geo Block entirely and reinstalling but that had no effect. Right now its disabled and I am once again able to use other plugins.

Using WP 5.0.2 on both of these sites.

About to ditch this plugin entirely sorry to say.

    Hi @frustrated999,

Sorry about your trouble. Would you try “Quick recovery from blocking on login page“?

And let me know the result.

    Thanks for the cooperation.

Starting today I get a “Bad Request” error whenever IP GEO Block is activated and I try to do much of anything on my web site?

I can’t get to IP GEO Block settings, or anything. Nor can I access much but the plugins page.

    I have it deactivated currently.

Also, I cannot find ANY way to start a new support ticket anymore?? I can only view these active support items but i can’t start one to address my specific issues.

I have also tried turning off every other plugin and still get this message if IP Geo Block is activated and attempt to go to the IP Geo Block Settings, or many other plugin settings, Woocommerce products, etc.

Sorry, a bad request was received.

    ? Back

Is this a know problem with the latest version of WordPress?

Whatever this issues also prevents WordPress from installing any updates to other plugins unless I disable IP Geo Block first.

I don’t know if all of these have any common element or not?

My whole problem is I can not even activate the plugin. On one of the migrated sites if do not have the plugin enabled there is no issue. As soon as I activate it I get the message in my first post when I attempt to go into the plugins settings page. I can not do anything at all with the plugin. I have not logged out since activating it and I do not dare to with this type of behavoir. Using Version 3.0.17.3 on WP 5.0.2

the only way I could gain access to the configuration page was to enable the

    function ip_geo_block_emergency( $validate, $settings ) {

I checked the settings that you referred to on https://www.ipgeoblock.com/codex/quick-recovery-from-blockig-on-login-page.html and could not see anything wrong. I am using Cloudflare on the site so it showed a different IP in the plugin and I added it to the whitelist but when I went to save the settings I got

You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

I have removed the extra / out of the php file and deactivated the plugin for now.

Another strange behavior that I’ve not seen before, which hopefully is a clue.

When I wen to deactivate the plugin so that I could look at web orders, I got this message.

The link you followed has expired.

    Please try again.

When I went back, the plugin had been successfully deactivated?

I don’t know if this helps but about the time the problem with IP GEO Block started, I began to see these messages in a debug log.

I have deactivated EVERY OTHER plugin on the site and the problem remains.
