    Hello,

    This error occurs again:

Sorry, you are not allowed to upload this file type.
Lo siento, no tienes permisos para subir este tipo de archivo.

I’ve read a similar topic where suggests to include add define( ‘ALLOW_UNFILTERED_UPLOADS’, true ); in wp-config.php but it’s a quite dangerous solution.

I’ve discovered that the bug only happens with Multisite.
I did this test on a staging site:

    1. Create a site with WooCommerce
    2. Import a sample CSV (from WooCommerce “sample-data” folder)
    3. It success
    4. Convert this site to Multisite
    5. Import same CSV
    6. It fails. I get the message error

So it seems that there is some problem with WooCommerce importer and WordPress Multisite.
Besides the plugin Product CSV Import Suite have the same problem.

I hope my tests can help to solve the bug.

    Thanks

    Hi @jairoochoa

I appreciate the detailed information you’ve provided regarding the error you’re encountering. It indeed looks like there’s an issue with WooCommerce importer and WordPress Multisite.

Right now, the core of WooCommerce doesn’t support importing into a multi-site. But, you might want to consider exploring other options, such as the https://woomultistore.com/

However, our dev team is already aware of this issue: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/26076

At the time being, we can’t give you an estimate for when the team will look into or fix the issue as bug reports are prioritised based on a few criteria. If you’d like to receive updates, please subscribe to the GitHub issue here.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Hi @shameemreza

Shop manager gets products from their ERP, so the only way to import products is using a CSV.
Site is a Multisite because they need to create landing pages for ads campaings and also because new languages will be created with Multilingual Press

I did more tests and Taxes CSV can be imported and it seems that only Product CSV fails. How can it be ? Both are CSV files

    Hello @jairoochoa,

It’s interesting that you’re able to import Taxes CSV but not the Product CSV. Both indeed are CSV files, however, the data they contain and how they are processed can be different which could cause the issue.

The problem might be related to the specific data in your Product CSV file or how the WooCommerce importer processes that data in a Multisite environment. It could be an issue with file permissions, file size, or the specific formatting of the CSV file.

As a workaround, you might consider using a different import tool designed for Multisite environments, such as WP All Import. This plugin has been tested and works well with WooCommerce and Multisite setups.

In the meantime, our development team is aware of the issue with the WooCommerce importer and Multisite setups and is working on a solution. We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this.

Please let us know if you have any other questions or need further assistance.

    Hi

Yes, I uploaded the file sample_tax_rates.csv which WooCommerce includes in sample-data folder.
Then I get the message ?Todo listo!?Ver tasas de impuestos (All done! See tax rates)
I checked WooCommerce > Setting > Taxes and I can see that they were imported.

Notice that all imports were using sample files from sample-data folder. So they are the same files that you can also test.

Yes, I have a lifetime license of WP All Import.
But the CSV they want to upload is quite simple and columns mapping is automatic. If choosing WP All Import it’s need to do first a manual mapping and it was supposed to do just one import, so I did not installed this plugin if WooCommerce importer or CSV Import Suite (which is almost the same) were enought for me.

    Best

    Hello @jairoochoa,

I understand the inconvenience this might be causing you.

At the time being, we can’t give you an estimate for when the team will look into or fix the issue, as bug reports are prioritized based on a few criteria. Also, it involves thorough testing to ensure we don’t introduce new topics.

In the meantime, I understand your concerns about using WP All Import. However, considering the current issue with the WooCommerce importer, it might be a viable temporary solution. Yes, it does require a manual mapping, but this is typically a one-time setup and could help you import your Product CSV successfully.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Please feel free to ask if you have any more questions or concerns.
