• Hi,
my site_url is different from my home_url and when trying to preview draft posts from the admin with an administrator profile I am returned with the error: “Sorry, you are not allowed to preview drafts”. I have traced that function back in the wp-includes/revision.php with the function name _show_post_preview. My questions are possibly very trivial, if I have a different home_url, my preview URL will have the home_url domain or the site_url? My home_url is password protected, will I ever able to see the previews? If I log on my home_url and the log on my admin on the site_url, I am taken to a url that looks like this: https://myhomeurl/?p=13011, but then the page title says “Page not found”. What is the issue? How can I fix it?

    Thank you very much

    Have you tried:
    – Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches. Not just your browser, but any op cache or content network cache as well such as Cloudflare. If your host provider has a “Purge Varnish” option or if you can ask your provider to flush memcache on your server.
    – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Sixteen, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

Hi, I went through each step, but the issue seems to be consistently there. Any other alternative approach whereby I can double check what is going on with it?

    Thanks
