• Hello,

I am having this problem after moving my site to a new host. After going to wp-admin and logging in with the admin user, I am automatically redirected to the front-page of my site.

The frontpage has the black admin bar at the top, but there are no buttons inside of it. The rest of the page displays correctly.

Also, if I try to navigate again to mysite.com/wp-admin, wordpress throws me this error:

“Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.” and chrome dev tools throws a 403 error.

The strange thing is, when I am not logged in, I can see the wp-admin login page without any errors.

I have contacted the new host (liquidweb) but they have no idea about the error.

    This is what I tried:
    -check file permissions
    -disable all plugins
    -switch themes
-add a new user manually into the db
-check site url in the db / wp-config
    -enabled wp-debug (no additional errors)
-the cache plugins were disabled before movin the site to the new host
    -fix the db
    -htaccess reset
    -checked the db prefix

Does anyone have an idea on what could be the problem?
    thanks.

Solved: during the website transfer I manually changed the table prefix only in wp-config and in the tables thinking it was enough. It wasn’t.
