    Although SH entries appear on Dashboard, if click on Simple History on admin sidebar get WP error “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

    This is v5.3.0

    My guess is that some other plugin modifies the admin menu or user roles/capabilities.

    Have you tried if this happens even with no other plugin installed? Or perhaps you can provide a list of the plugins that is installed and active on the site?

    Apologies, it had been disabled in Freesoul Deactivate Plugins plugin on the back-end
