    Hello.
    the check out process has not worked since last month.
    When customers fill the credit card info and click “Place order”,
    the error massage appears on the top of the page; it says ” Sorry, we are unable to process your payment at this time. Please retry later.”
    This error happened suddenly even though it worked normally until then.
    I wonder it might because I updated this plugin or not.

    I use;
    WooCommerce : version 3.3.5
    WooCommerce For Japan : version 1.2.19
    WooCommerce Stripe gateway : version 4.1.0
    WooCommerce Weight Based Shipping : version 5.2.0

    I use woocommerce all in Japananese.

    I tried the steps that you adviced, but while I deactivated the all plugins, following error appeared suddenly; “Fatal error: Class ‘WC_Payment_Gateway_CC’ not found in /home/mashiro365/coffeebeans-mashiro.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-gatewa\y-stripe/includes/abstracts/abstract-wc-stripe-payment-gateway.php on line 12”

    Now, I cannot access my website because of the error..

    I checked my “abstract-wc-stripe-payment-gateway.php”, but there seems not to be any problem compared to below one.

    I have tried your advice several times, but when I deactivated strip, always the below error happened.

    We need to recover the credit check out immediately.
    Could you kindly advice to this issue??

    I live in Japan and I have just the same error.

    this 2 errors

    – Payment processing failed. Please retry.
    – Sorry, we are unable to process your payment at this time. Please retry later.

    @mashiro365 download the newly released 4.1.2 version and re-test. You would need to use FTP to copy over the files. If you’re not sure how to do that, contact your host for assistance.

    I updated to 4.1.2 version and re-test it, but it still does not work.

    Hi @mashiro365 – what does not work? Can you be more specific? Are you saying after loading 4.1.2, you still get the same error message or something else?

    After downloading the latest version, I tried the steps that you advised;
    1. Turn all plugins off no exceptions.
    2. Then turn on only WooCommerce and Stripe. There should only be 2 plugins active.
    3. Then switch your theme to a WP default theme like TwentySeventeen.
    4. Turn shipping off completely.
    5. Then test your checkout again.

    but, the same error massage appears after pressing “Place order”;
    “Sorry, we are unable to process your payment at this time. Please retry later.”

    @mashiro365 Ok good, so you’re not getting the error message anymore. Now go to your Stripe settings again and check that the field statement descriptor that you don’t have anything in the other than English alphabets.

    Thanks!! Now strip check-out got to work!
    As you say, I checked statement discriptor, and changed to only alphabets, now it works.
    And I tried to have Japanese letters, it also works.
    But, when I have a special letter “|” in statement descriptor that maybe only Japanese has, the error massage appears. It seemed to be a cause of the error.

    Anyway, thank you very much for your help and taking your time!!

    今回の原因は、woocommerce>設定>購入手続き>Stripe
    の中の設定で、「ステートメント記述子」の箇所に「|」という記号を入れていたことが
    原因だったと思われます。
    アルファベットと日本語のみの記載にしたところ、エラーが消え、決済できるようになりました。

    I still trying to DEACTIVATE ALL MY PLUGINS & CHANGE the THEME to DEFAULT one….
    but nothing get better…still have the same error.

    – Payment processing failed. Please retry.

    Also I try what @mashiro365 said, but nothing happen…

    what can i do next??
