• MEC seemed very promising when I started using it about a year ago. But the endless stream of updates (22 in this year alone, as for this moment), often with unexpected results, make it impossible for me to use it on a professional live site.
Unexplained changes in the costs field with serious effects on the front end of the site; css definitions that apparently are suddenly changed and make a mess of the front end; tags that are impossible to use, since the tag pages show a random bunch of events without dates; and now the impossibility to display start times when not using the anglo-american AM/PM standard – too be fixed soon!
It’s just too much to ignore and I can’t use this on a concert hall’s website.
Sorry guys from Webnus, but I quit, as soon as I got another calendar installed.
    Kind regards,
    Frank

    Hello @frankmanl,

Thank you for your comments. There are always bugs everywhere, and this is an undeniable fact of IT.

We are always trying to make MEC better and prioritize bug fixes. But to make MEC usable for most people, we need to add more features, and this is a sign of life for a product. Some features take longer than others.
In any case, we strive to offer our users a bug-free software and appreciate you sharing your opinion with us.

Regarding your issue, please use the latest version of MEC.
We’ve fixed it on the latest version of MEC 5.22.0:

I have to agree with @frankmanl – you guys are doing too much in this plugin. We have the paid version and you’ve yet to fix the ability to update the plugin from the admin of WP, it has been close to a year now and I am still having to go to your website, download it, and manually install it on several websites.

You need to focus on the core product, the calendar itself, and possibly consider ALL of these other crazy features and integrations as add-ons to the plugin – this way, it cuts down on the amount of updating with the core plugin. We don’t need front-end submissions or ticket sales on any of our installs so we’re stuck with all of this bloat.

We haven’t gone past 5 licenses because we just couldn’t handle manually updating more sites than that. The plugin has potential but still seems it needs a lot of kinks to be worked out.

    Hello @viablethought,

    Thank you for contacting us,

certainly. We have it in our plan to strengthen the core but if you have auto-update issue, please open a new topic for it.

    Best Regards

    @webnus

Yeah, submitted a ticket for it over a year ago, still not resolved. Now my purchase history and downloads are missing. You guys have problems. Think it is time to look for another solution ourselves.
