    I noticed I haven’t been getting comments on my blog today. I did a test comment and received the following error: Sorry, there was an error. Please enable JavaScript and Cookies in your browser and try again. The url is https://thelesbianlifestyle.com/wp-comments-post.php

    I have been messing around with plugins today. When I noticed the error I deactivated all the new ones I added including deleting a few because I was so worried about this issue.

    I copied my default comments.php file over in hopes of clearing the issue up, but to no avail. My current comments.php looks like this:

    <?php // Do not delete these lines
     if ('comments.php' == basename($_SERVER['SCRIPT_FILENAME']))
      die ('Please do not load this page directly. Thanks!');

            if (!empty($post->post_password)) { // if there's a password
                if ($_COOKIE['wp-postpass_'.$cookiehash] != $post->post_password) {  // and it doesn't match the cookie
        ?>

        <p class="nocomments"><?php _e("This post is password protected. Enter the password to view comments."); ?>

        <?php
        return;
                }
            }

      /* This variable is for alternating comment background */
      $oddcomment = "graybox";
    ?>

    <!-- You can start editing here. -->

  • My commenters are getting the same error, but it seems to be inconsistent. It only gives the error to some and only on certain posts.
