“Sorry, no posts matched your criteria” after upgrading

Why is this flagged as resolved?

I get the same thing in 2.5 on a clean install from newly created posts – even on the default theme.

Also looking for a solution.

Change your permalinks to:
Default https://domainname.com/wordpress/?p=123

The issue will go away.
