4.0.1 update is mostly a release to fix security issues, so the plugin should be working fine. It works for me at least.

Did you make any other changes to your site during that time?

    No changes at all, no.

Something is killing jQuery -a Javascript library- on your site, preventing WPP from even updating the views counts of your posts and pages (see screenshot).

    Do one of the following:

    • Disable all of your plugins (except for WPP) and visit one of your posts. If WPP is able to track the visits after that, it means another plugin is causing the issue. Enable them one by one until WPP stops tracking your visits, that way you’ll figure out which one is preventing jQuery from loading properly.
    • Download and install the latest Beta version of the plugin. Among many other changes, it includes a fallback in case jQuery can’t be detected so WPP can continue to work normally. If you decide to go for this option backup your site first (including your database), disable WPP and install the latest Beta version.

Please, keep me posted with the results.

I disabled the plugins one by one without success. However, after moving to the latest beta version, everything is working correctly once more.

I’ve copied my developer on this thread, as perhaps this is an issue with the custom theme. It’s just strange that it appeared seemingly out of nowhere.

Thanks again for all your help, I really appreciate it!

If disabling all of the plugins did nothing, then it must be theme-related. The Github version of WPP (soon to be published here as well) checks for jQuery, and if not present already WPP will include it. That’s why it worked now ??

However, the reason why jQuery is undefined remains to be resolved. Please ask your theme developer to look into it, and let me know if you need further help with this.
