    Important Decision re the future of MyCRED
    As you know, in the last few months, support and development of myCRED has been sparse, for which I would like to apologise.

    Personal reasons aside, the primary reason why I have had so little time to spend on support and development has been my inability to make myCRED profitable enough for me to work with it full time. Instead, I have been relying on my day job to make ends meet and this job has required more and more of my time.

    As I am unable to fulfil the level of support and work I feel this plugin deserves, I have made the heartbreaking decision to abandon the plugin. As it stands now, on May 7th 2018, I will release myCRED and all premium plugins I have written, to the public domain for anyone to use free of charge but without any official support. The documentation page will remain online as well.

    If you decide to stop using the plugin and have an active support license, you can request a refund on your order by sending me an email with your order number. I will refund all requests as soon as I have the means to do so.

    I want toto express my sincere apology to everyone for the inconvenience this will cause and to thank everyone for your support over the years.

    I thought I had a good idea about how people would use myCRED and boy was I wrong. Over the years I have seen some amazing ideas and uses of the plugin which never even crossed my mind. I trust that people will still continue to use MyCRED to make a difference in many positive ways.

  • Just wondering how much we would need to raise to keep you working? I recently just noticed the announcement also and have been eagerly awaiting the next version you were working on. I was visiting the store to make sure I was going to have enough funds to buy several plugins for the new update. Very sad day for 10,000 Plus fans. I hate that you have not been able to monetize enough to stay at it.

    I’m sorry but this is not a topic for these support forums. These aren’t Gofundme, Kickstarter or Indiegogo. These forums are for users seeking support for this plugin.

    The author has a site that is linked on the plugin page. Feel free to have this conversation there if you choose. But not here, that’s just not what these forums are for.
