Before today, I hadn’t used the Bulk Editor in a long time. Coming back to it, I see that the same issues exist with this tool that existed since I’d last used it in over a year:

    1. Save All still (still!) doesn’t work. Why offer this feature at all if it doesn’t work, may have never worked, and may never work?

    2. Why, oh why, are the New Yoast SEO Title and New Yoast Meta Description text boxes so incredibly small?

The two issues above make the Bulk Editor almost unusable. Is this a way to get people to pay for the premium version? If not, can you please fix both of these shortcomings ASAP? You update the plugin every week it seems, so surely you can find time to address these problems?

    Hi @coryinthelou

We can confirm that the ‘save all’ function in the bulk editor doesn’t work. We understand your frustration with this. There is an open GitHub issue here which you can subscribe to for updates.

As for your other concern, we don’t believe that there has been any change to the size in the columns for the SEO title or meta description in the overview page of the Bulk Editor.

Aside from bulk editing the title and meta description, the Yoast SEO plugin does have a feature to automatically set these fields with a template that uses snippet variables, which should help as well. You can learn more about it here — https://yoast.com/snippet-variables/ & https://yoast.com/help/list-available-snippet-variables-yoast-seo/

Michael, thanks for replying so promptly to my whiny post.

It sounds like the Save All feature won’t be fixed for a long time. Can you at least remove it from the interface until it’s ready? That would save space and allow the Title and Description text boxes to be larger.

I wasn’t suggesting that these fields had been made smaller, by the way, only that their small size makes them very difficult to use. Please make the fields larger!

    Thanks!

@coryinthelou We’re sorry, but modifying the interface isn’t likely due to it already not having high priority. However, you’re welcome to suggest it on the GitHub thread directly to the developers.
