• Hi,

    Several bugs (some already put into topics) are present in this new version. Please hurry as for my clients it’s unacceptable, they understand that’s a free solution but… something that worked before has now too many problems with a big upgrade. How ?

    – Special characters not accepted (in french not using them is a fault)
    – Error on devtools console
    – Save logo impossible
    – can’t style anymore with css (seems “call-us” html block act as an iFrame)
    – scroll problem (screen locked) on admin
    – user (editor role with WPLC specific permissions) not anymore able to modify config. it was ok with version 8
    – config changes not saving everytime.

    And I still have a question pending : how to ban a user. I see “banned user” field in admin. How can we get connected user IP ?

    We’ll take a look at this later on.

    Could you please elaborate? We’re not able to produce any issue like this.

    This is intended. Editors are not administrators and should not have access to the plugin settings and other pages. In the future we’ll allow you to set specific users as administrators for the plugin.

    Can you elaborate on this please? What do you see exactly?

    And I still have a question pending : how to ban a user. I see “banned user” field in admin. How can we get connected user IP ?

    We are aware of this. User country, IP and browser are being added in the next release of the plugin.

    The plugin has been re-written from scratch in order to fix severe architectural issues many users were experiencing. In our immediate next release we’re addressing the UI & UX as it’s a bit basic right now. Immediately after that, we’re adding more features.

    – Giving an access to one agent is necessary. I am admin and provide maintenance service for the site. I can’t give them admin access to deal with your plugin, contract would be broken. I took an admin access and removed several permissions with User Role Editor. Making for my client a new role with far more permissions than “Editor”. I added all WPLC permissions but they in fact get nothing now with version 9. With version 8 they could access to config put had wordfence problem (another post discuss of it).

    – Saving problems happen sometime… Saved texte for messages is not saved but if i do it again that ok… Maybe a problem on my side.

    – Scroll problem : when on livechat admin menu, scroll is often blocked. I have to refresh to free it. Same on safari and Chrome Mac. Not Firefox.

    We can keep the permissions as they are below, but you would be able to assign a specific user to be What the plugin admin via a tickbox inside the WordPress > Users area. Does this work for you?

      Editor = Live Chat, Offline Messages
      Administrator = Everything

      I haven’t been able to reproduce this. If you could provide some dev console info if there is any problems there or a screenshot of the issue, i can take a look.

      This happens when you’re in the Live Chat SETTINGS area or the Chat page or everywhere? It will not allow you to scroll at all??

    Wplc cap show offline

    Now my defined roles can modify config. I need to make more tests on different roles and users but it seems ok. Weird I didn’t get this yesterday…

    – 3rd time I change text in general config panel in footer email. If I come back after changing panel i get the previous text…

    It must have been something left over from the old 8.xx install of the plugin. Probably after you made some changes, the new settings were applied correctly.

    in fact saving config doesn’t work I think… i checked “open hours” and validate but after refresh it’s not checked….

    We’ve fixed the issues you previously reported in version 9.0.4, but it seems due to the bug in version 9.0.3 and before, any fields that had previously had ‘invalid’ characters like this: éàè will need to be edited 1 more time.

    We’re going to fix this in the next version, but if you want to get it working right now:
    -Go to Settings
    -Press Save
    -Saving will fail due to some settings with invalid characters.
    -Once saving fails, you’ll notice that some of the Settings tabs will show a number next to them e.g: “Chat Box ‘2’”. This means that there’s 2 fields that need to be manually fixed before you can press save.

    Once you’ve done this saving will start working even if you put special characters. Once the page reloads, the special characters should still be there and be valid and working.

    Please try this and let us know. We’ve tried it out today and it works for us. Version 9.0.4

    I still have problems :
    I did what you explained but I still get :
    “contact???????????????????????????????? !”
    Just after validating :
    “contact !”
    Same problem with special characters.
    I updated plugin in 9.0.5

    Same problem for logo. Seems nothing is saved…

    We need some more information about the issue. May you provide us the follow information?
    # Yours Sql database characterset.
    # Yours Sql database version
    # The text you are trying to save and the field where you are trying to add it.
    # Yours Sql database version
    # The exact step where problem with logo is occurred ( during upload via WordPress media library or during WPLC save settings process? )
