Something wrong with Connections theme

  • There is something fundamentally wrong with the Connections theme. As you can see in this screen capture:

    Titles, headers and comments show up extremely small and cannot be read unless you set up your browser to override fonts. Obviously this happens only with some computers (I have not been able to establish a relationship with a particular browser or browser version), but not a negligible number.

    I’ve checked many variations of the Connections theme, and nobody seems to have fixed the problem

    How can this be fixed? Since it’s one of the most popular themes, wouldn’t it be a good idea to have a careful look a this?

    PS: It would appear that one blog, which uses a substantially modified version of Connections is not affected by this problem. Maybe someone can tell why.

  • Why did you do that “remove spaces” crap with just one of the links…don’t make things difficult for people who want to answer your question.

    Sorry about that, I did it with the last blog because I thought that the owner might not be happy to have a link over here (I wouldn’t want mine to show up on top of google searches, which is not that difficult due to the pagerank of this forum). The other links take you to the author of Connections website.

    Well, unless we can SEE the blog that’s having a problem, there’s no way to answer that. Yeah, sure I SEE it in the screen shot, but that doesn’t tell us what the CSS or the HTML behind it looks like. (and please, don’t post it…. it’ll just get lost).

    TechGnome, the problem is with any blog that uses the Connections theme (I’ve seen more than a dozen). Take the author’s site, for instance:

    The screen shot shows you what the problem with some browsers will be. For obvious reasons, I cannot give you a link that will show you the problem “live” if your browser is OK.

    I am using the connections theme on my blog at https://www.cornellfinch.com

    I have had no problems with it in any browser that I have viewed, and have had no reported problems either.

    I expect that this is a problem with your browser. What are you using? Have you tried a different one?
