    Hello,
I saw that others already posted the same error message, however, I did not find a solution yet.

When a person uses the newsletter form on my website, the subscribed email address lands in my dashboard, but they do not get the email with the confirmation link PLUS the error message “Something went wrong with your subscription. Please contact the website owner.” shows up.

I already changed the captcha settings, no result.

MailPoet has been working for years without any problem, but this is something I don’t understand.

I have 1985 subscribers in my list, so the 2000 is not reached yet. (Just in case the number of subscribers could case a problem.)

Does anyone has a solution for me?
    Thanks
    Anja

  • I am a brand new user and am having the same issue with email confirmations. I tried signing up for my newsletter with two different emails but get the “Something went wrong with your subscription. Please contact the website owner.” message. The emails show up in my subscribers list as unconfirmed. When I try to resend confirmation email I get another error “an unknown error occured”

    Any help?

    Hi @jaycoale,

This error message will be displayed for the users trying to subscribe to your newsletter if the sending method is not working.

If you’re sending with the MailPoet Sending Service, it could be due to having the sending suspended or because you’re trying to use an unauthorized email as the FROM email address.

Please check if you see any error message when trying to send a newsletter.
