    Hi

I when I click the “Setup or link an existing PayPal account” on options page, and then I login to paypal business account, then on screen “Allow PayPal to connect your account with WooCommerce Developers” I click “Agree and Connect”, after 2 minutes it says ” Something Went wrong”.

What’s going on with this? I have all plugins latest versions…

  • I am experiencing the same exact problem.

Me too. Started after the last update.

WHy is there no answer for issue when so many people are facing it?

Having the same problem. I had it working on a test account. Then when I switched over and tried using a different account I get the same message. I’ve deleted the plugin and everything… no luck.

    Anyone heard anything on this?

Can’t promise this will solve everyone’s problem, but here’s how I solved mine. Turns out the problem was not on the WordPress or WooCommerce side. It was PayPal. Unknown to me, PayPal had put a “limitation” on my account, “in an effort to keep your account secure.” I had to send them a scan of one of my photo IDs to clear up the problem. Once I did, and they removed the limitation, my WooCommerce site worked just fine.

@kenneyd Do you mind me asking how you got on to Paypal? I get cut off when I call (no one in attendance due to covid) and, every message thru their messaging system takes about 24 hours to get a very vague response back. I’m having the same issue, is there somewhere you can see what docs/id etc they are requiring? And where do you load/submit it? Thanks in advance!

@panada I can’t figure out how to access my notification history on PayPal, so I can’t retrace my steps precisely, but I’ll try to remember how to do it:

    * login to your PayPal account with your email address and password
    * on your summary page, click on the notifications icon (the bell in the upper right corner)
    * if your account has a “limitation,” you should see a notification listed. Choose that notification
    * that notification should provide instructions on how to upload proof of identity. In my case, I uploaded a photo of the first page of my passport. I also had the option of uploading another photo ID, like a drivers license.
    * it took four days for PayPal to lift the limitation on my account. After that, my WooCommerce site worked as usual

That’s all I can tell you. If you don’t find a notification that there’s a limitation on account, then you’re probably facing some other sort of problem. I hope this helps. Good luck!

    Hi all,

As @kenneyd mentioned, this is more than likely something related to your PayPal.com account.

Please log into PayPal.com directly and look for any note about account restrictions.

Second, ensure your account is a PayPal.com business account – our plugin won’t work for Personal accounts.

    Thanks,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
