    Hi There,

    I’ve been looking at all the different reasons I might be getting this error. I’ve followed several guides to try and figure this out and when I go into the logs I see the following

    09-02-2021 @ 16:22:28 – There was an error trying sync products using the Catalog Batch API for job 5d600ae0da35356837432d11cd558fd3: Cannot create the API instance because the access token is missing.

    Is there something I should be looking for?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for including the log information!

    The most important part of that error message is Cannot create the API instance because the access token is missing.

    We’ve been seeing this problem in older versions of the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin – could you please confirm that you have the latest version?

    Otherwise, it sounds like the Facebook connection didn’t set up correctly and can’t find the token. Here’s the best way to fix that:

    * Go to to https://<your-site>/wp-admin/options.php
    * Search for wc_facebook_external_business_id
    * Update field to include only supported characters and save (best practice: store-name-dfsdc3lck9k6q ← 13-digit random string
    * Go back to WooCommerce > Facebook and click “Get Started” again

    Please do let us know how that goes!

    Hi Hannah,

    Thank so much for the reply,
    I of course thought maybe the plugin was out of date but it’s ver.

    I’ve checked the var wc_facebook_external_business_id in options and it’s fine it’s dastousdio-salonspa-60e329a0d3fa1 nothing strange there… Tried the setup again… and still getting the error!

    Was worth a shot, Anything else I should look for?

    Hi @fuseboxjeremy,

    Can you confirm you have 2FA enabled for the Facebook account you are using and that you are both the admin and owner of the Facebook assets?

    If you are unsure, you can contact the Facebook support team to verify.

    We’ve seen cases where the merchants had problems connecting because they did not have 2FA authentication enabled.

    Hi @battouly

    You know what that could be it… this is a client who’s given me these credentials… let me check with them when they re-open on Tuesday.

    Thanks for the idea.. I’ll report back if it works or not. That way if it does at least others will know this bit of info as well.

    Thanks again!

    Hey @fuseboxjeremy,

    That sounds like a plan.

    Keep us posted!
