• Hello,

I received the following message on one of our sites:
Something went wrong, check Errors & Debug or authorize the plugin.

This is actually the 3rd time, and the third site I’ve seen this message on. When I click through the view the “Errors & Debug”, the error count is 0, and there is no information.

Is there any way to have the plugin email the site admin if/when this happens so that it can be remedied ASAP to avoid missing analytics data?

    Thanks.

  • Hi,

If you’re using the latest version, the tracking should work even if that error occurs.

How many sites are you authorizing using the same Google Analytics account. Are they more than 25?

Yes, we have a total of 62 under the same account.

In that case you should read this: https://deconf.com/error-refreshing-the-oauth2-token-message-error-invalid_grant/.

There are some Google Analytics limits you should be aware of.

Thanks for your help, I’ll check it out.

We also have 25+ profiles on our accounts so this plugin is not workable for us.

It would be nice if you just could add the tracking code manually.

    Hi,

If you look closer on plugin’s settings every feature requiring the authorization can be disabled. If you disable the front widget, dashboard widget, frontend and backend stats you’ll be able to have a full functional tracking plugin without authorization issues.

Please note that while I do not doubt your use case the limit enforced by Google is reasonable as long as you use the user management feature as described on the above tutorial.

    Hi,

I have 1 website and I got the error. This is the first time I am using it.
