Something went wrong – Can’t connect to Facebook

First, make sure you’re updated to the latest version of the “Facebook for WooCommerce” plugin.

The wc_facebook_external_business_id WordPress option cannot be blank or contain non-Latin characters.It must not exist at all in the database or must contain some value. Ex: store-name-ouh3ylhlrnm0j ← make sure that this is different for each merchant!

This can be found a few ways:
1) in the wp_options table in the database, or
2) on the options page in the website at https://<your-site>/wp-admin/options.php
3) The external business ID is also passed in the URL of the “Get Started” button

If you still experience issues, it may be that your currency is not supported. If your WooCommerce default currency is not on this list, some folks have had success temporarily changing their currency to a supported one (USD, CAD, GBP, EUR) to connect and then changing it back afterward. However, this isn’t an officially recommended workaround so we can’t guarantee that it will work.

You were right! The issue was with my currency. Facebook does not support LKR. I temporarily changed my currency to USD. Then I was able to connect to Facebook. Then I changed the currency back to LKR.
