  • I guess that my question is, are you asking this because you want to make sure your site is SEO friendly, or because you are concerned about something else?

If you are concerned about the SEO, I would suggest that you listen to the Google Webmaster Tools outcome over the Godaddy outcome. After all, it is google search results you are probably wanting the SEO to be tailored for.

If there is another reason, my might want to look into the Canonical links in the SEO plug in (I have not used this plugin so I don’t know if it has the capacity to manage that). Google Canonical URL link to find out more about them.

    Good luck

    Simon,
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. I appreciate that. I am asking because I am mostly concerned with duplicate pages. The second reason I am asking is to simply educated myself on why such a thing would a occur, if it is in fact a problem to concern myself with and how to fix it. I will check out your Canonical links suggestion. Thank you again for your response. Karla

    Hi syracuselawyer,

I’m having the same problem with my blog https://mymindmovies.net

The “?shared=email&message=fail” part of the url indicates a problem with the email part of the “shared” plugin, which allows people to share your posts on facebook, twitter, etc. If your hover over those icons you can see the URL. I also have duplicate Meta tags shown by the Attracta Meta Tag analyser on Hostagtor cPanel.

    Have you found a solution?

I’m going to try re-installing shared plugin, or find a different one and see if that works.

    Thanks, Greg

If you are using Graphene, the easiest and surest way to do this is to grab some code from Addthis.com and add it to Graphene’s social sharing option. Works like a charm.

There is no contact box on the David Zukher page, yet it shows another page for that too. — I cant find the ?shared=email&msg=fail when I Control F in the html.

These dupes seem to be created by sharing buttons. Do you find the duplicates in your sitemap?
