I don’t know what happened to my Yoast plugin but it is acting weird. I deactivated it last night and activated it again, and now it doesn’t work properly. I tried flushing cache and deactivate and activate it again, but nothing works.

In the post editor, Yoast looks like this now https://imgur.com/eKGnzJO

And in the settings, the dashboard button and first time configuration buttons don’t do anything.

Yoast marked this as resolved, even though it is not resolved. Very shady behavior.

Sorry to hear the problem wasn’t resolved after updating to Yoast SEO 20.10, @danniee001. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to reproduce the problem on our end yet, which means the problem is specific to a given site/server/browser configuration and/or combination of plugins.

To better assist you and other users individually, we’d kindly ask you to create a new topic with the following information:

    1. Are you running the latest version of WordPress, your theme and plugins?
    2. Is the problem still the same after clearing your browser/site/server cache? This help article explains how to clear your WordPress cache.
    3. Does the problem occur if you use another browser (i.e. Chrome or Firefox) or when you enable incognito/private mode?
    4. Does the problem occur when all non-Yoast plugins are disabled and the theme is on a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-Two?

Please test point 4) on your development or staging site if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

Thanks for your patience and cooperation!
