    Hi,

I have a problem with someone trying to constantly login to my site.
I have set it to lock the person out, however somehow it says they are attempting to login with my IP address.
So if I block ‘there’ IP address it will block me out.
Right now I can’t sign into my site as I get a “You are temporarily locked out” message.

Can you please help me and advise what I can do?

    Thanks

I took a look at the site’s headers — the IP address you’re seeing in Wordfence probably belongs to CloudFlare, so all visits appear to come from CloudFlare instead of the individual visitors.

In Wordfence, you’ll need to set the Option “How does Wordfence get IPs” to “CF-Connecting-IP”, and save the options. After that, you can check the Live Traffic page, to see if the IPs are showing up differently. You can find your public IP by googling “my ip”, and make sure that your own visits appear with that IP address in Wordfence.

I see that the site is also using “Varnish”, which can modify incoming IPs too — if the CloudFlare option doesn’t work, you might need to try one of the other options.

If you are still locked out and can’t change these settings yet, we have a guide for temporarily disabling Wordfence via FTP, so you can log back in:
I locked myself out and can’t get back in. What can I do?
