Someone tried logging in 99 times

How long do you have your lockout time set? Locks default to expire after 5 minutes.

If the attack is coming from the same IP address over and over, you can block the IP permanently. Select the IP in Live Traffic and click Block. Then go to Blocked IP’s and then click Make Permanent on the offending IP.

Hi WFBrian,

People/bots constantly try to login as the admin on my site, which is what led me to purchase Wordfence in the first place.

However, when I log in to my admin site to block the IP address that Wordfence says is trying to login to my account, it says ‘you can not block your own IP’. Can you please let me know why Wordfence is saying it’s my IP address that’s trying to access my account?

Try changing how Wordfence gets IP’s.
