• ok, i’m incredibly frustrated. is it just our version of wordpress, or what is going on???

    everytime i enter a post, it NEVER looks like what it’s supposed to from the visual. if i enter a space, it never shows up. if i enter bullets, on the visual they appear (since it is a button u can push within the actual posting) but then on the page preview and actual posting, they magically disappear. this is the most frustrating thing and I really wish there was a wordpress email on here so i could get some direct feedback now, cause i haven’t been able to do so much with the blog because of these problems.

    someone please help me!!!!!!!!!!

  • Okay. Unfortunately, without knowing what version of WordPress you’re using, how you’ve set it up, and a link to your blog, we can only guess at what’s going on.

    Also, it’s best to make your post title reflect the problem, so that those who *can* help can recognize what the problem is. (And ALL CAPS signifies shouting.)

    good to know. I’m using version 2.1.2 and my blog is https://www.killerstartups.com/blog/. Does that help? I’m not sure how to describe the how it was set up thing since I didn’t start out the blog but now manage it. can anyone help?

    Are you entering text with the WP editor? Which one? Basic or rich text? If rich text, do you use visual and code view?
    Are you c & p ing from Word or Office or some other?

    “if i enter a space, it never shows up”

    There are lots of spaces on your blog ??

    Are you trying to enter multiple spaces to adjust layout?

    And can you show us an example of a post where you’ve added a bulleted list but it’s not showing up?

    Yeah, you’re doing some pretty weird stuff with your layout. Looking at your front page first post, you’re embedding hard spaces and some doing some strange stuff with your paragraph styles, which is causing paragraphs to “snuggle up” far too closely to each other. Your stylesheet says:

    p { margin: 0px; padding: 0px; }

    Maybe that was your intent, it just looks a bit harder to read than it should be.
