These guys are publicly saying your “WP All in One Security plugin” doesn’t protect websites much, and are doing damage to your brand.

Is there any truth to what they are saying here?

Hi, I checked the link you provided above.

That site looks more like some of the spam I receive from time to time. I would ignore what they say. However if you feel that this plugin is not secure enough for you then you are free to use it or not. After all there are 100s of thousands already using this plugin with positive feed back.

    You decide.

Since this is not an issue can you mark this support thread as resolved.

    Thank you

Well my question is more along the points of bringing this to the creator of the plugins attention… there are people actively damaging this plugins reputation… claiming that this plugin specifically by name is not secure and can easily be hacked and that it essentially leaves a massive vulnerability.

If this is not true then the creators of this plugin should have that other site taken down by google and their hosting for slander… and perhaps go after them with the FTC for false claims in advertising.

And if there is ANY truth to what they are saying… then the creators of this plugin should buy the new plugin and analyse what they should do to make their own plugin more secure.

Simply labeling it as spam and asking me to make a choice based on what thousands are doing is irresponsible… if there is a threat that is protected by the new plugin and not this one… then your thousands of users would be vulnerable and the plugin need upgrading.

And if the plugin is not vulnerable… the lying assholes are profiting by their lies and many hundreds of people are being parted with their dollars by false advertising and possibly using an inferior product when they should be using ALL in ONE….

I think that this is a valid topic and should be left open until one of two things happen.

    1. It is stated that All in One does everything that the new software does and that the creators are aware of the people trying to give them a bad name with false claims

    or

    2. That there IS something that needs to be added to ALL in ONE and that it gets scheduled to be added to be more secure asap.

If neither of the above two are done… then this thread should remain open until one of them is.

How do we know that the link you posted is not your site? Your profile was created yesterday? And the only topic you EVER posted is this one?

As far as I am concerned, the link you posted could be a malicious link.

I will bring this topic to the attention of the WordPress moderator. They will know what to do with it better.

The link does feel a bit on the not-legit side, so I have removed it, but that’s the only comment I’ll make on the matter.

The rest I’ll leave up to the All In One WP Security & Firewall authors/contributors.

Why would I bring the other product that is giving all in one a bad name to the attention of the all in one guys?!? From what I can see if their claim is a lie they can be sued and held liable.

I just don’t want them to be ripping off hundreds of people if they are lying. And if they aren’t lying, then all-in-one needs to be updated to protect the rest of us!

All I want is response from the all-in-one team to let me know if they are straight up lying or if all-in-one will be updated with the “new” protection soon.

Please ensure that the original link gets to them, and if you need it again just ask me.

    Many thanks.
