• Hi Guys

I run the film review website https://www.moviereviewworld.com . On Friday night I was made aware that my wesbite had not only been cloned my entire site and all my content but is updating in real time with mine. The perpetrator is https://www.aboutmoviereviews.com/

Is there anything I can do to stop them and prevent it from happening again? Is it even a person or robot and what benefit are they getting out of it? I have contacted there domain/host provider, logged a DMCA with google and tried blocking their IP address on my bluehost account to no avail.

    Thank You

    Allan

  • I understand.

You could always keep it in reserve for an “if all else fails” scenario, and then look for help on https://jobs.wordpress.net/, but yes, hopefully this will not be necessary as you already have many irons in the fire to resolve this. Good luck, and keep me posted on how you get on …

You might also want to consider installing SSL into your login forms.

I remember having a lot of reported brute force attacks when I check WordFence. As soon as I switched my login and admin pages to SLL, all of the security alerts stopped.

Thanks Barnez, Ill keep you posted on my progress.

Clouder, is SSL a function or option that comes with Wordfence plugin or is it another plugin I need to install?

    Sorry for late reply.

It’s SSL is the functionality that encrypts all the information sent through your pages. You have to activate it first through your host, it usually comes with business packages if you have the basic package you’d usually need to pay 19.99 yearly to keep it activated.

Basically it’s the thing that gives you “https:” instead of “http:”
