Someone elese twitter feed appearing in side bar

    I’ve recently hosted a new domain and installed wordpress, I was installing Press Works and a few other security widgets that I already use on another site.

    Weirdly there is already a latest tweets in the first side bar from an unknown source, it’s rubbish talk, so it seems ‘hacky’, I’ve checked in the widgets for the side bar and there is nothing installed and there’s nothing set up in the theme.

    I’m guessing I may have already got a rogue bit of code in there, but I don’t really know where to look, any help would be appreciated.

    yes, the url is tankertonflowers.com, setup up at the same time as hosting on Vidahost amd WordPress installed by me.

    i dont see any problem …might be malware on your browser . Check in other browser

    ah, I turned off the sidebar, so it didn’t show to the world.

    I’ve turned it on and you can see the feed on the right.

    try putting your tweeter name in the theme and then check .

    I can put in the twitter widget in the first sidebar with my name and it takes over displaying my feed. If I remove the twitter widget the rogue feed appears again, even though no widgets or feed are enabled.

    I won’t need to use a sidebar, but it’s the thought of something not right being on the site that’s annoying me ??

    i think its some miscoding in your theme because as soon as you put your name correct feed appears . There is no need to worry just go on . You can check your url on sucuri.net for malwares in future . Hope that helps

    Yes it’s strange, I do use the same theme on another page and it doesn’t occur.

    The only thing is, that if I decide to use the sidebar in the future, but without a twitter feed, the rogue one shows up.

    As I haven’t got very far yet, maybe I should delete the themes, plugins and start again to see if it occurs.
