Someone accessing wp-admin files

  • Hi,

    I have latest version of WordPress and Plugins Installed on my blog. Someone is accessing wp-admin files like /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php, wp-admin something related to ajax which is located in wp-admin folder and stays in same file for long time. My be trying to hack..

  • Can you provide more detail about how you know this – I assume you’ve seen this activity by analyzing your server log files.

    Do you allow users to register accounts on your WordPress blog – if so, then it’s entirely normal for them to access the Administration area of your site to update their user profile etc and this may explain accesses to the files you mention.
