    Hi.

I have a membership site where users on frontend get error “ERROR:” when they try to upload a profile- or coverphoto. When I use the browser console log i can see this error on the affected users.

This issue seems to only affect older accounts. New users are able to upload profile pictures.

In the response tab i get this: https://ibb.co/LgFtJjL

    What i have tried:

    • Conflict test (Disable all plugins)
    • Deleted Wordfence and all it tables and data
    • Checked permissions in the folder with TFP

I have been in contact with my hosting provider who says it might be related to Wordfence. Can you please help me resolve this?

    Thank you

Hi @simstr, thanks for reaching out!

It’s interesting that you’ve tried disabling other plugins, as the “Spam Detected!” response shown in your screenshots isn’t a Wordfence message. It could be related to a mu-plugin or other product offered by your host that runs before WordPress.

The upload issue could be a false-positive block in Wordfence though, so trying out Learning Mode may help. https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/learning-mode/ also includes a method for checking for blocked action(s) in your Live Traffic page manually if Learning Mode is ineffective.

Let us know if you find anything in Live Traffic that you need assistance with,
    Peter.
