• Hey there!

Thanks again for Order Note Templates for WooCommerce Plugin!

I wanted to suggest that you add the ability to sort notes to the free version of the plugin; Because the lack of this option is a big challenge for big stores and websites.

And the lack of this feature is very challenging for a website like ours, which is located in Iran and does not have access to international credit cards to make payments and purchase the premium version of the plugin.

Also, during the 1 month that we have been using the Order Note Templates for WooCommerce plugin, we have encountered 2 big problems.

The first problem is the excessive slowness of the order notes section, which takes a long time to load, and I think there is room for the plugin’s speed and performance to be optimized.

And the second problem is that the plugin styles are not loaded correctly in the order notes section, which are loaded as default html select/options!

Thank you for applying the above items in the next updates.

Hi there, thanks again for the great review and also for posting these queries, apologies for the delay in our reply, we missed the notification but that should be remedied now. We have looked into the various issues / queries, please see comments below:

Speed of order notes section loading
Currently we are using the same script that WooCommerce itself uses to fetch the order notes and this should be loading together with the rest of the page. We can definitely look at optimising this, possibly with a custom query but it still may not load fast enough if there are other elements on the order screen that are also slowing down the loading process. There is a feature on the premium version which allows you to view and edit the notes directly from the orders list screen which may be a possible solution as well.

    Styling
We did make some styling fixes in the version 1.1.0 release of the plugin which should have helped with the selector going outside of the order notes section container, but if you are just seeing a plain HTML select box then it could be something blocking the JavaScript from loading correctly or possibly a plugin conflict. Can you send a screenshot (You can use https://imgbb.com/ or another service to upload a screenshot) of how the section looks on your end. It should look like this with a select / filter box that matches WooCommerce: https://ibb.co/t3P1RMd

    Sorting Feature
The sorting feature, like the other features of the premium version have taken time and effort to develop and we are also working on improvements to these particular features, such as filtering options and additional sorting possibilities so it is not something that we are looking to bring across to the free version at this time, however we do understand your predicament and appreciate both you taking to time to review our plugin and submit your recommendations, so please feel free to reach out to us directly via our contact form here: https://www.robotdwarf.com/contact-us/ and let’s see if we can work something out.

    Thanks again!
