Some strings are not translate in admin

  • Hi,

    I can’t understand why, but some strings are not translate in admin. I’m french, I’m working on a website in french/english.

    For example, in admin pages list, I see :

    Pages “add new” => english
    Then for the filter links :
    Tous (ok it’s french) Les miens ( ok french ) Published (english) Private (english )

    PS : My profile is set to french

    In gutenberg, “featured image” is not translate too

    Anyelse have same problems ?

    Hello,

    As far as I understand, you are speaking of the backend language. Polylang should not interfer with the backend language. Being able to select the language for the backend in your profile is a WordPress feature (since v4.7 if I well remember).

    That said the WordPress French translation should be complete. When I test on my install, “Add new” is correctly translated to “Ajouter”. I don’t have filters with “Les miens” (only a filter by date for pages and filters by date and category for posts). So I suspect that you have a plugin (or theme) which adds this feature and is not completely translated.

    Hello, thank you for your reply.

    It comes from Theme and plugin translation for Polylang, when it’s disabled, I have no problems.
