I’ve added the plugin and all the google fields have mapped apart from one, when I try to publish the feed a warning box appears as with the information as follows:

Some required attributes are not configured properly.
    – Manufacturer [brand]
Do you still want to continue?

My woocommerce doesn’t appear to have any field in the products pages for Manufacturer?

  • Hi,

For Google, you will have to include either the Brand + MPN or Brand + GTIN info in the feed.

Brand info is a required field for Google and if you submit the feed without the Brand info, your product will be rejected from the Google Merchant Center.

You can have a look at this doc for a better understanding of how to generate a feed for Google: https://rextheme.com/docs/how-to-generate-woocommerce-product-feed-for-google/

Also, you can include the Identifier Exists (Identifier Exists >> Attribute >> Identifier Exists Calculator) attribute if you can’t provide the Brand value, but this way your product performance will be compromised.

I hope you understand what I’m trying to say.

Do let me know if you have further queries or if you face any issues.

    Thank you.

This make’s sense, thank you. The problem I have is, by the looks, the template I used with woocommerce doesn’t have a field for – Manufacturer [or brand] and I can’t seem to see where to add one (if at all possible) myself. If you can give me any pointers on this i’d be very grateful.

    Thanks again.

    Hi,

If all your products are under the same brand, you can simply use a static value to insert the Brand name into all the products: https://prnt.sc/YCQQOoyw3L92

If not, then you will have to assign the Brand value to your Brand attribute.

However, if you don’t have any brand values to any of your products, you can use the product attribute/ variation attribute/ custom attribute to assign Brand info to your products and then assign this attribute to your Brand attribute.

Let me know if this helps.

Also, do let me know if you have further queries or if you face any issues.

    Thank you.
