Some Recipients Do Not Receive Notifications

Email notifications are not being received by some recipients. If the recipient’s email address ends with the website home domain name it is not received e.g. [email protected] (Google Workspace). Further when the home domain is used the submission does not show up in the activity. BUT, if the recipient’s email address is in another domain e.g. [email protected] it is received and appears in the activity.
Our domain is hosted by Bluehost and it was necessary to change the MX record to point to SMTP.GOOGLE.COM since email is managed there – I am not sure if this has anything to do with it or not.
Any help will be appreciated.
