• I have been using this plugin and I like it so far. However, I have a few questions. Could you please answer the following:

    1. I flushed the cache (which was yesterday) and today the cache built was 312 MB. So in less than 24 hours, it cached 312 MB. It’s too much I guess. When does it stop? How much cache does cache enabler normally build? Or most importantly, does it ever stop?

    2. Even though I have Disabled (Unchecked) the – “Clear the complete cache if a new post has been published (instead of only the home page cache)” option, the complete cache gets emptied when I update a previous post.
Is it supposed to happen? I know the option only says when post is published, but shouldn’t the rule also apply to updating the posts?

    3. Does cache enabler support the Last Modified Header or If-Modified-Since Header so search engines can index better.

    4. I am also using Autoptimize plugin and Enabled HTML, CSS, and JS minification. Should I keep Cache Enabler minification to disabled?

    Thanks in advance.

  • 1) Cache Enabler will continue to build the cache if more pages (that aren’t previously cached) are accessed by visitors. The size will depend on how big your pages are and how many pages you have.

    2) There is also an editable option on each post that you can modify from Clear cache: Completely or Page specific. Please ensure Page specific is selected in this case.

    3) Yes it does “The WordPress Cache Enabler also makes use of the If Modified Since header to help the browser determine whether the content has changed since the creation of the static cached file.” https://www.keycdn.com/support/wordpress-cache-enabler-plugin/

    4) Yes please keep CE minification disabled and use Autoptimize’s minification in this case.
