    1.Settings->FFMPEG Settings->Do automatically on upload:
    When I choose “1” thumbnail I can choose 25%,50% or 75% of the way through the video, but if I choose more than 1 thumbnails I can’t choose where to generate the thumbnail from.

    2. I want to generate multiple thumbnails (or rather screenshots) from a video to use in the post. I want to be able to generate these screenshots according to timecode like 0:01 or 38:59. On the video page in the media library, it seems videopack provides this function but again it can only do 1 thumbnail. On your documentation page it says “You can generate as many or as few as you need (up to 99 at a time).” But I don’t see how I can generate 99 thumbnails at a time.

    If you choose to generate more than one thumbnail at a time the plugin will evenly space them throughout the video. There’s no way to automatically generate them from multiple specific timecodes. Considering most videos are variable lengths, that’s just not a use case that’s ever come up.

    If you want to make thumbnails from a particular video at 0:01 and another thumbnail from 38:59, just generate the 0:01 thumbnail first, save it, then make the 38:59 one and save it. Both thumbnails will then be available to you in the Media Library. Generating 99 thumbnails at a time only works if you don’t set a specific timecode, because you can only make one thumbnail at a time from one specific timecode.

    I see now.
    Can I request a feature that enable user to enter multiple timecode and generate thumbnails accordingly at once? Think adding that shouldn’t be hard providing you already have a very similar function built in. Just some tweak on the backend ??

    I’ve tried “generate a thumbnail and save it” but it didn’t work as I’d expect.

    Please watch this video, problems are described as follows

    1) After first thumbnail is generated, it won’t generate any more thumbnails (1:30)

    2) Generated thumbnail has wrong thumbnail in the media library (0:48)

    3) Since generating thumbnails by timecode doesn’t work well, I tried “choose from video”. It works. However, it is a little hard to accurately seek to the position I want, especially for long videos. I’d expect the timecode below the player can be used to accurately seek, but it can’t(3:48). Did I miss anything here?

    Could you please answer my question?

    I think you’re running into some browser caching problems and a possible bug caused by a filename simplification change I made a few years ago and didn’t test on the specific workflow you’re using. I’ll take a look at it. In the meantime you could also try selecting the thumbnail by clicking on it, or the radio button beneath it, rather than clicking “Save all”

    I like the idea of connecting the thumbnail selection window to the timecode field, and also adding comma-separated lists to the timecode field to generate multiple specific thumbnails. I’m not sure how easy it will be so I can’t promise it will happen.
