    After testing just about all the algorithms out there, this looks really interesting because the image quality is better than with competitors while the image size is hardly any bigger or even smaller.

    Two things

    1. It doesn’t seem to place nicely with wpml: images are only showing as optimized in the original language. This will create confusion
    2. does this work with photon (wordpress’s image cdn)? In other words: are optimized images uploaded to photon?

    Thanks for your feedback!

    We’re glad to hear you’re pleased with our image compression. It’s always nice to have positive feedback about our work.

    1.) I’ve put integration with wpml as a high priority update for our plugin, and hopefully we’ll have this up and running very soon.

    2.) Zara 4 replaces the original image on your server with the compressed image, so this should be the image that is uploaded to Photon. However we’ll need to look into at what point image uploading occurs for the various versions, and make any necessary adjustments to Zara 4 before we can say for certain that Zara 4 is compatible with Photon.

    I’ve started Photon compatibility with Zara 4 as a blog topic on our website. We’ll take a more detailed look at the inner workings of Photon and find out exactly how Zara 4 would work with Photon. I’ll post a link here once it’s published.

    Any other feedback or suggestions you have, would be very much appreciated!
