Some orders do not forward to Paypal

    Hello there,

    during the last few weeks a problem appeared, so some users who orders via paypal do not get forwarded to paypal. They just stay on the page that states, they will be forwarded to paypal.
    The status from paypal is:

    2021-09-24T20:29:07+00:00 ERROR Impossible to update the order, payment id is not valid.
    2021-09-24T20:29:32+00:00 INFO POST https://api.paypal.com/v1/payments/payment

    I deactiavted the caching plugins and a few more. But not sure if it helps.
    What I dislike is, that the problem does not appear on every order. Just now and then. Any ideas, where to look?

    Hello @klyx

    To rule out a conflict with a different plugin, could you please try activating the default Storefront theme and disabling all other plugins except for?WooCommerce and?PayPal Payments to see if the behavior persists?

    Hi Andreas,

    thanks for your suggestion. We already deactivated all plugins that are not necessary. But unfortunately this is a productive site, so we can′t just switch template and shut down all plugins ??

    I would love to try it on a staging site, but as the error happens only from time to time (all tests we made ourselves never brought up the problem), this would not help either ??
