• Woocommerce 2.7.3
    Bookings 1.7.3

Hello; please be gentle with this newbie. We hired a dev to install Woocommerce and Bookings, and while he’s been great, he’s now away for 2 weeks and we’re in a pickle with some issues which only came to light in the last couple of days.

We’re volunteers here and none are php/Wordpress experts, but we’re willing to have a go. Not asking for anyone to do it for us as we need to stand on our own two feet with this, but we can’t find the answers so far. Here we go:

When using “check availability” booking method, mails are not going to the customer before confirmation, despite all email boxes being ticked, and all other email notifications working just fine.

How can we rename the “products” page to “events”? It’s called “events” on the WordPress backend.

How can we stop “linked products” appearing on the frontend product page? “Linked products” is empty on the backend, and we’ve deleted the SKU.

How can we change “your order won’t be shipped” to something more meaningful like “your booking won’t be confirmed until….”

How can we make it so a guest can add more than one resource to a booking? So let’s say one guest wants to book 3 single rooms for 3 nights, the only way we can think of is a “person” called “multiply accommodation by this amount” and then manually change the multiplier on the backend. If this can’t be done then….

How can we go back and add more than 1 item to the basket? Again, the only way we can find to do this is to tell the potential guest to go back and book a second one, but what happens is the form for the address pops up for about 2 seconds, and then changes to:
“Sorry your session has expired – return to homepage” when booking one thing, and then another.
The only way is to close and re-open browser. Very frustrating.

Why is it that when we say “300×300” thumbnail and carefully craft a perfect 300×300, it actually makes another 300×300, compresses it horribly, and then stretches it out on the product page to be larger?

When we create a gallery, despite our image dimension settings being correct in both the WordPress and Woocommerce sections, the gallery thumbnails are actually the full size images, just forced down to size in html.
In other words – large images are not being resized to thumbnail size for the gallery, but the correctly dimensioned 300×300 we are providing for the 300×300 images are being re-compressed to the same size.

To show the correct calendar, we currently have:
Minimum block bookable (3 months) into the future
Maximum block bookable (4 months) into the future
That way, it shows the correct July calendar.

But we have to keep tabs on this, so next month, we’ll have to remember to change it to:
Minimum block bookable (2 months) into the future
Maximum block bookable (3 months) into the future

Is it possible just to say “Show only July calendar”?

Almost all the events are just on a particular day – there’s nothing to choose, so the extra click is meaningless.

    Thank you – and sorry!
