just installed the free version. unfortunately some of the menu is missing. i see only:

    • events
    • tags
    • import
    • settings
    • help
    • event add-ons

when i deactivate and reactivate the events calendar plugin then i can see the rest of the menu until i click on one of the (before)missing menus. then i get a white page with the message “nicht schummeln” which means “don’t cheat”…

i deactivated all the other plugins to see if there is a conflict but it doesn’t change anything…

  • Hey @thaimacky,

That is odd behavior indeed! You mention having tried deactivating other plugins, to no avail –?what about if you also activate a default theme like Twenty Fifteen?

If that does not help, then can you clarify each of the following details:

    1. What version of WordPress is active on your site?
    2. What version of The Events Calendar is active on your site?
    3. Are you logged in as a full admin, not a lower level role like “Subscriber” or something like that? Does logging into your admin with other accounts (if you have any other accounts) change this issue?
    4. Is your site a multisite installation?

    Thanks!

    hi george,

    thks for your reply.

indeed i disabled all the other plugins which did not help.

i also installed your plugin in another wordpress theme to test it, and there it works as advertised.

unfortunately it does not work with the website i wanted to use the plugin on (which is based on the very popular brooklyn theme)

    1. latest wp version is installed
    2. latest plugin version is installed
    3. full admin rights (i am the only user for this site)
    4. no multisite

i also completely uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin and it did not change anything.
the wp-installation is in german language.

*screen shot* of the menu in the backend with the missing sub menus

and *here* is the link of the calendar site on my website

this looks good but it’s very sad i can’t add any events ??

    cheers
    mac

I really appreciate you testing this, @thaimacky!

The most important data point is this one:

i also installed your plugin in another wordpress theme to test it, and there it works as advertised.

That’s extremely strong evidence that your Brooklyn theme is unfortunately the source of the problem here, and your best bet is to contact their customer support team for further assistance.
