Hello, I’m a photographer and Media Library Assistant saved my life …
I’m on Mac with PHOTOLUX WP Theme and using MLA till almost 3/4 years I guess, without any problem.
But suddenly (before upgrading to WP 4.6.1) in the assistant if I’m clicking on ?quick edit? nothing happens or if I’m using the bulk editor — in this case, after it been working the program send me back a list like ?Item 8263, no changes detected.? and I can’t do nothing more …
The other buttons and links are perfectly working …

There were no new plugins installed those times, I don’t no what to do ?!

    Regards Phil

Thank you for your kind words and for your report. I regret the trouble you are having with Quick Edit and Bulk Edit.

You wrote “There were no new plugins installed …” Can you tell me what version of WordPress and what version of MLA you are using now? Can you tell me what browser you are using?

The problems you are having are probably JavaScript errors. Both Quick Edit and Bulk Edit rely on JavaScript in the browser and on AJAX to do their work. Sometimes, old or damaged JavaScript in the browser cache causes problems like your. Have you tried clearing the browser cache or clicking the browser “Refresh page” control to reload the scripts from the server?

Hello … Using the last versions of WP (4.6.1) and MDA (2.33), usually Chrome but always testing with Firefox and Safari. Yes I’ve tried refreshing page and clearing browser cache …

For ?Quick edit? the script shoots only :
    https://www.philtaka.fr/WP_3/wp-admin/upload.php?page=mla-menu#
And if I try ?Edit? the whole link direction is correct …

Could it be some upgrade modifications in MDA preferences, I’m only working with Att. categories to localize my photos (huge number) therefore Title and Caption for icon and lightbox …
I had customized a little plugin a long time ago to catch the images filenames directly from Lightroom append a prefix ?REF > ? before it for the icons caption … And it always works …

Thank you for working with me offline to investigate and resolve this problem. Thanks especially for trusting me with access to your site so I could do the required testing.

My investigation revealed that, for some reason I do not understand and have not seen before, the entire /media-library-assistant/js subdirectory was missing from your installation. Without access to the JavaScript files, Quick Edit and Bulk Edit (and other MLA features) could not function. Re=installing the plugin solved the problem.

I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it of you have any other problems with the Quick or Bulk Edit functions. Thanks for your interest in the plugin.
