Some images not being displayed at all on tablet and mobile

Finally someone have the same issue with me.
i am using siteground host, and full active for sp optimizer function with avada template.
I have been reported to siteground live chat 2 times about random missing image on website, but they able to view my website with “those missing image” while we live chat.

do you solved your issue? i would like to know how you solve it as this issue disturbing me until today.

my problem is only happen on MOBILE display. some of the image will be missing. even we paste the image full link on the google chrome browser, its only appear with a tiny square box.are you have the same issue with me?

Apparently is the same issue. I couldn’t see your live site though. But looking at your comments, I believe it to be the same.

We chose Siteground because of its speed, so having issues with their optimization is disconcerting…

Good to know that the issue is not just limited to me, and hopefully they will come back here with some help. So keep an eye on this thread.

I have figure out the issue on this.
it might cause of WEBP image format which generate or optimise by PLUGIN.
i have used imagify and SP OPITIMZER.
with the active of WEBP images regenerate function.

i have tested on few mobile device, especially for iphone.
iphone x and iphone 7 cannot be display
iphone XR works well.
huawei p40 works well.
vivo cannot be shown.

so, i deactive the WEBP for any plugin which related to this function,
i make a new image ( JPG format ), upload to content builder of wordpress
and reselect the image of JPG file ( the jpg file i didnt switch on for optimise function, which mean original image size will do )
so. problem solved.
as i have studied that iphone might cause some webp image issue on display.
due to safari not supported for webp ( not too sure about this. )

but the tired part is, i need to reupload every images to my website. its really kills me.

okay. how do i figure out this issue, i paste the image direct hyperlink to my laptop chrome, and wanted to save it to my file folder, but i found that only able for WEBP file format. so i realise something wrong and redo it again with jpg file format without regenerate to webp file function (plugin)
and everything SOLVED!

The issues you have are related to Cloudflare.

Its really painful after i read the content of your sharing Stanimir.
As i reported 3 TIMES live chat with Support team of Siteground, but they keep reply me as it works perfectly. i was so pissed off of the service as i am just newly transfer my whole website to SG since Feb and this problem came out on March. And i able to trigger them in the early stage.

Hi, I am new to WordPress and web site generation.

I have a site (managed wordpress 5.4.2 through IONOS), using hitchcock theme. I have made 20 posts and a couple now aren’t displaying some images on mobile devices. In fact the same is happening on two separate mobiles (ie same pictures not showing).

All pictures have an alt text designation and it seems strange that I am losing just a few images. All images appear on the desktop. I have cleared mobile cache and no change. I have changed the theme and no change. This is the post most affected with images 14,15,16, 25 and 32 not displaying on a mobile (samsung browser) and images 1,2,3,5,8, 13, 14, 15, 16, 23, 25, 27, 32 (on chrome browser).

When I change the alt text designation for an image (e.g From Leftlake 14 to Leftlake 14a), this is updated and shown on the mobile devices (but without the image).

I hope there is someone out there who can help.
