Hi Optimole team,

I just enabled the plugin, I can see the images are server by Optimole CDN, however I see some images are not resized based on pagespeed results: https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis/https-orem-com-mx-producto-agenda-perpetua-espiral-planifesting/l53pzyjl1n?form_factor=mobile

EG: This image is served as 1024×1024 however the actual size on mobile is smaller.

Hi @jalop123j,
When your image tags have a width and height attribute, then Optimole will use that value at the time of resizing the images.

Hi, I have removed the widht and height tags from the image but it is still showing up in pagespeed report.

Hi @jalop123j,
Instead of removing the width and height tag which is not recommended at all as it will cause CLS issues, try changing those values to the actual values that is rendered to the screen. Then optimole will take that value and resize them accordingly.

Thanks. The inline width and height is created by PHP, so I’m planning to set it using CSS media queries. Two questions:
1. Would optimole take the image size based on CSS?
2. What if the image is specified as w:100% h:auto, how would optimole calculates the actual size?

Unfortunately Optimole can’t take the image size from CSS.
