Some images are not generating thumbnails & even unable to insert in to post

Hi, I’m using wordpress 3.3.1 on my wordpress blog wwww.hindifilmnews.com

I switched to 4GH Linux on Godaddy recently and I upgraded my wordpress site from 3.1.1 to 3.3.1 just before this.

However, now I find that I’m unable to process most of the images on my posts. It’s a tricky situation.

I tried to upload it with both Media Library and Post Editor section and the problem persists on both front!

1)It crunches the file and everything – but the thumbnail is not generated. But then I’m able to edit the image using the “edit” button just below the thumbnail section.

Funny thing is that I can’t find the file on the file URL provided for the same image, i.e. https://hindifilmnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Agneepath-New-Poster-Hrithik-Priyanka3.jpg

I even checked the folder via FTP, but there is no trace of a file.

In short I’m unable to generate thumbnail or insert this image in to my posts.

It happens with 90% of the images after the up-gradation.

I am unable to post articles as usual due to this strange behavior. Please help me!!

I have been going through various forums concerning ‘Image upload’ error and I did everything they suggested.

I reinstalled the fresh copy of WordPress. Did edit php5.ini. Tried to change the permission on “upload” folder and “tmp” folders. Edited timthumb.php, deactivated all the plugins, switched to default theme and what not!

Somebody please help me!
