Some Hompage Links not working

  • This is my first query that I have since setting up my WordPress website also this is my first WP site.

    The problem: Some Links on my Home page (https://www.easypccare.co.uk) do not work. They just do not load. When I hover my mouse over the link I can see in the bottom left hand corner that it registers that the item is a link, but nothing happens if I click on it or if I open in a new tab. The link does however work if I open it from the menu on the left.

    I do not understand why this is happening because everything else is working fine. The menus are linked up to the designated pages and they do have an end destination, so there,s no error from that side. This only happened today no update or anything installed prior to this issue.

    Any help on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

  • I am not sure why your links for the most part start with a #.

    Go to permalinks and select default and save and then check the links. If you all ready are on default switch to anything else, save then switch back to default and save.

    Thank you for the speedy reply, before posting to the forum I did the following:

    Disabled all plugins – no joy
    Deleted .htaccess
    Changed permalinks to plain – no joy
    Changed permalinks to show title – no joy
    reinstalled theme – no joy

    So should I reinstall WP, I would on done this but not sure wht to do about paid plugins?

    Does this happen with a default theme?

    Hi I have decided to in reinstall, thank you so much for your assistance. Much appreciated.

    I have run into a new problem when I did a fresh install I lost the “Page Settings” from the New Page and Edit page, now I can no longer turn off the side column or set background on font colour?
