Some highlighted image gallery captions disappear after half a second

    The plugin is brilliant, though I notice an abstruse quirk: highlights of image captions generated by a gallery plugin (JIG) appear for a fraction of a second after page load, then disappear. (Other instances of the text on the page stay highlighted fine.)

    I realise it’s not expected to work under all circumstances with all output, but I wondered if that behaviour seemed to flag an obvious problem.

    Hi, highlighting is added on page load and it sounds like the gallery plugin is reloading captions on the fly after page load, breaking the highlighting. There is not much that can be done (easily) unless there is an option in the gallery plugin settings that stops this reloading of captions.

    You might want to consult the gallery plugin support team.

    If you have a link to a page where the effect can be seen live, I might be able to tell you more.

    Yes the gallery plugin must be reloading after page load as you say. I can’t see any available configuration in that plugin to alter that, but I’ll ask the developer. Thanks for clarifying.
